A day to support Leighton's traders
The I Love LB group is putting on a summer festival on Sunday, June 13, to promote the diversity of small retail businesses in town and something for families to get involved in and enjoy.
From 10am to 4pm, the group want to build on its Christmas weekend success by providing family fun with clubs and organisations around town invited run stalls.
Participating shops will be open throughout the town and the stalls will be in the High Street.
Producers of local food and drink, and art and crafts will also have stalls. Anyone interested in running a stall should contact Colin Ashby 01525 375892.
In the library car park there will be a flat top roadster, custom and classic car show.
The fire station will be open as will Bedfordshire police trailer.
Family fun activities will be taking place in Parson's Close Recreation Ground. In Pulfords School there will be a fashion and wedding fayre (some pitches are still available, contact Andrew Stanton 07812 730004).
There is a Bucking Bronco Trophy Competition too, with a first prize of £100.
Throughout the day there will be music at The Market Cross, with Brooklands Rock and Roll Group and live acoustic sessions.

On the Sunday, the High Street will be pedestrian only, with buses terminating at the stops at the bottom of the High Street.
