Leighton Masqueraders raise curtain on first am-dram production of Victoria Wood's classic comedy.
FANS of the classic TV soap, Crossroads, will feel right at home when they pay a visit to Acorn Antiques which opens in Leighton in June.

Leighton Masqueraders are in rehearsal for their production of Acorn Antiques the Musical – the first am-dram group in Britain to be allowed to get their Marigold gloved hands on Victoria Wood's hilarious comedy.

The show is completely different to anything the Masqueraders have done before and it comes with the guarantee of a great night for all.

Its premise is to poke fun at the 1970s soap, Crossroads, complete with shaky set and larger than life characters.

All the well loved characters from the TV series, including sisters Berta and Babs, and their cleaner Mrs Overall, are recreated on stage.

With witty dialogue and songs written by Victoria Wood this is a show not to be missed. Audiences will be laughing from start to finish.

Acorn Antiques The Musical runs at Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre from June 16-19.

Book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets from the box office on 0300 300 8125.
