Leighton Musical Theatre Company are off to see the wizard.
FOLLOW the yellow brick road to Leighton Library Theatre this week to see everyone's favourite musical The Wizard of Oz.
The Leighton Musical Theatre Company (formerly LLAOS) is celebrating its 40th year by going off to see the wizard.
Custom-painted back projections are going to be used for the first time at the theatre to make the show a magical experience for families of all ages. It's an ideal pre-Christmas treat.
Join Dorothy, Scarecrow, the hilarious Cowardly Lion, and Tin Man, on their fantasy journey to meet the great and powerful Oz, cheer for the beautiful Glinda, tremble at the evil Wicked Witch of the West and lose yourself in Munchkin-land, before continuing on to the incredible Emerald City.
Director Heather Thorne said: "This show is a real departure for LMTC.
"The cast have really thrown themselves into it with their usual enthusiasm.
"They are looking forward to presenting their hard work, despite being in severe danger of being upstaged by the impossibly cute 'Toto' being played, in his stage début, by Smirnoff!
The show is full of familiar and beloved songs including If I Only Had A Brain, Ding Dong The Witch is Dead, and the stunning 'Over The Rainbow'.
The Wizard Of Oz runs from Wednesday (Oct 7) until Saturday with a special matinee performance on Saturday.
For tickets contact the box office (01582) 818801.
