THE area's newest arts centre, the 'b Gallery' is exhibiting a collection of work from TV personality Timmy Mallett.

The former Wacaday and 'I'm A Celebrity constestant has a series of limited editions on show at the Toddington venue as a preview to a major art exhibition due at the gallery in the summer.

Julie Boyle, co-partner of b Gallery, said: "Following Timmy's rising success in the art world and elevated appeal since appearing on 'I'm A Celebrity' we have had a number of requests from our customers to hold an exhibition of his work.

"As he is signed to one of the publishers we deal with, we are delighted to be able to do just that."

Mallett's originals have doubled in value in the last year alone. B Gallery partner, Melanie Burnell, added: "Timmy is a lovely guy and a hugely talented artist.

"He takes inspiration from the many places he has visited and loved all over the world, with a great emphasis on Britain in particular. His paintings are abundant with colour and depth."

Timmy studied History of Art as part of his degree at Warwick University. In recent years he has enjoyed a keen artistic friendship with fellow celebrity painter and entertainer Rolf Harris.
