LEIGHTON music pub The Wheatsheaf is well known for booking some pretty extreme bands so it's unlikely that regulars will be surprised at the antics of Friday's group.
Louie And The Louies is the new dynamite surf, frat and twistin' rock 'n' roll combo of Britain's String King himself Sir Bald Diddley.

The shiny one is famed for his previous surfin' combos Sir Bald Diddley and his Right Honourable Big Wigs, Sir Bald Diddley and his Wig-Outs and The Magnificent Escapades.

In this new outfit he is joined by one of Britain's finest rock 'n' roll / rhythm 'n' blues rhythm sections, namely Matt 'Sleepy Louie' Radford on bass and Brian 'Ramblin' Louie' Nevill on drums.

Stray make a return visit to the Wheaty in North Street on Saturday and if you've seen them before you know what to expect. If not, now's your chance to find out.

Gigs start at about 9.30pm and go on 'til late.
