Have magical fun with Leighton Buzzard Drama Group's Jack and The Beanstalk.
A GIANT of a pantomime will be staged at Leighton Buzzard Theatre when that family favourite Jack and The Beanstalk opens in the New Year.

The Leighton Buzzard Drama Group are doing their bit for the environment by performing the original green panto.

Jack and The Beanstalk features everything for a great family night of fun. It's a classic adventure story about a hapless boy called Jack, his brother Simple Simon, their mum Dotty (a stunning pantomime dame), and a handful of magic beans.

Ambition can be a dangerous thing and it doesn't matter what Dotty says Jack is determined to be rich – even if it means meeting a very mean giant called Buster Gut Bucket!

LBDG chairman, Nigel Carnell, said: "Jack and the Beanstalk promises to be a giant of a pantomime when it makes its grand entrance to Leighton Buzzard Theatre on January 6.

"Rehearsals are well under way with a magnificent cast working hard to bring a stunning local production to our local theatre.

"Why go anywhere else when you can enjoy the best of panto locally?

"Stay local, play local and be green as well!"

Jack runs from January 6 to 23.

*We have four family tickets to give away to the opening night (worth £25 each) in our easy to enter competition.

Simply tell us the name of Jack's mum. Send your entries, complete with your name, address and daytime contact number, on a sealed envelope or postcard to Beanstalk Competition, Leighton Buzzard Observer, 17 Bridge Street, Leighton Buzzard, Beds LU7 1AH or by emailing anne.cox@lbobserver.co.uk

Closing date for entries is midday, December 14.
