Be a good sport at flower festival

The Olympics is the theme of a five-day flower festival at All Saints Church Leighton Buzzard in June and has become an opportunity to promote local sports.

More than 45 different community groups, churches, schools and sports clubs are so far participating in the festival which will see the historic church festooned with dozens of imaginative floral displays depicting sports and the spirit of the London 2012 Olympics.

The flower festival is open from Friday, June 29 until Tuesday, July 2.

As well as the flower arrangements, visitors will be able to enjoy live musical events each day, a special concert on the Saturday evening, and the church café which will be open throughout.

Entry to the festival will be free, with a donation programme and proceeds will go to All Saints and the All Saints Preservation Trust.
