Edlesborough will be congratulated for its success in the Buckinghamshire Best Kept Villages competition this weekend.

Community representatives will receive the DeFraine Cup for medium-sized villages from Vice Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Alexander Boswell at the Memorial Hall at 2.15pm on Saturday.

Care, cleanliness, maintenance and community effort were under the spotlight when the judges visited the area in June.

The competition is organised by the Bucks Association of Local Councils (BALC), and sponsored by Bucks County Council, Aylesbury Vale, Chiltern, South Bucks and Wycombe District Councils.
