Caribbean day at new ‘royal’ bar

JOIN in with some Caribbean fun at The Hare pub in Linslade this weekend as landlord Jim Woolley shows off his newest edition to the beer garden – a beach bar from the Goring Hotel in London.

On Sunday, you could enjoy a swift half or two at the very bar the Royal family and the Middletons may have stood at when it was at the luxury hotel. It is a replica of Basil’s Bar on the island of Mustique where the Queen’s sister was said to have been a regular.

To celebrate its arrival Jim and his team are organising a Caribbean afternoon and evening with food cooked by two ex-forces personnel as well as a pig roast.

A steel band has yet to confirm but there is a Reggae disco planned for the evening. The Hare was chosen by the hotel to give the bar a new home because of Jim’s work with ex-forces charity Resolution.

>>You can read all about it in next Tuesday’s LBO.
