CHURCHES across Bedfordshire will be welcoming visitors for ‘Open Church Sunday’.

The event, on June 24, will see some of the most significant historic buildings in the county throw open their doors for the public to explore.

Many are not normally accessible outside church service times, and some date back over 1,000 years.
