French strike hits some Luton flights

SEVERAL flights from Luton Airport to France have been disrupted by the ongoing French traffic controllers’ strike.

An airport spokesman said the industrial action was due to end this morning (April 4) at 5am.

He added: “Some flights in and out of France have been affected, as well as flights that use French airspace.

“Five flights to areas like Montpelier and Nice were cancelled yesterday.”

Unions called the two-day strike in protest at plans to cut jobs at France’s regional hubs.
