PLANS to improve the lives of people with autism have been agreed by Central Bedfordshire Council.

People with autism and their carers worked on the strategy, which includes increasing understanding and awareness of the condition, improving local support services and helping people with autism to find work.

Carole Hegley, in charge of social care at the council, said: “The council is now asking for comments on the draft strategy so we can make sure we include all the things which are important to people with Autism.”
