Bell Close has long been the hub of sport in Leighton with cricket, hockey, tennis and football sharing the site.

The LBO has been loaned a photo album featuring line-ups of teams and players from bygone years and we will be featuring some in coming weeks. Many thanks to Shelly Tipping who rescued many of the snaps and saved them for posterity.

This photo was taken some time between 1910 and 1920 and little is known about the cricketing image.
