Olympics arrive in Eaton Bray!

Waiting for Video...

OLYMPIC enthusiasts from Eaton Bray Academy carried their very own torches to celebrate the start of their Olympic-themed term.

The children ran from the School Lane school to Totternhoe Knolls on Wednesday, which marked 100 days to go before the start of The Games.

Upon arrival back at the school the children sang songs about being proud and held a colourful ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Headteacher Sue Hounslow said: “To make it special and exciting we’ve come out for an Olympic run.

“We like to bring learning to life so at the beginning of the term we do something special.

“I think they’re very excited, the Easter holidays have brought it to life a little bit more – some have been to London and seen the beginnings of what’s going to be a great summer.

“It’s an exciting start to the term for everybody.”
