THE Harley-straddling well-known gang of motorcyclists are infamous for the regimental rules and oaths dictating their bike etiquette.

Now a similar two-wheeled sub-culture has sprung up here in the UK at a small school in Ivinghoe – this time without all the bad behaviour.

And no-one’s tearing up dusty highways on chopper bikes either. It’s just pupils travelling to Brookmead School on their pedal scooters.

But although somewhat slower, it seems the young scooter enthusiasts can be just as dangerous as the formidable leather-bound bikers.

Zooming around before and after school, the wannabe Barry Sheene’s have caused a spree of near-accidents and clashes.

Parents have been so alarmed that headteacher, Katherine Douglas, has decided to introduce a scooting code and ask pupils to hold a scooter licence.
