The golden whistle that signals safety

A PRESTIGIOUS ‘golden whistle’ has been awarded to First Capital Connect for passenger safety.

The company outperformed all other train operators across the country to scoop the honour from the Institute of Rail Operators.

It is based on passenger safety figures reported by the Rail Safety Standards Board.

FCC spokesman Mark Underwood said: “Safety really does start at the front line.”
