Ark House Vets in Hockliffe Street, Leighton Buzzard has been shortlisted for a national industry award for the warm welcome it provides to local pets and their owners.

The practice is a finalist in the 2012 ‘Front of House Awards’ – organised by Veterinary Practice Magazine and leading pet food manufacturer Royal Canin. The annual awards recognise excellence in front-of-house design, appearance and facilities and the winner can expect to receive a cheque for £750 to invest in their business, a gourmet meal for up to four employees, plus a trophy and plaque to display in their reception area.

Royal Canin’s Veterinary Sales and Marketing Director, Andrew Doyle, said: “The judging panel made unannounced visits to all entrants to allocate marks under a number of criteria.”

Kate Semple, the owner of Ark House Vets, added: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted in the category for practices with 10 or more staff. Bringing your pet to the vets is often a stressful time for both animal and owner and our aim is to reduce any anxiety where possible by making our customers feel as welcome and relaxed as we can.”

The Front of House Award winners will be announced in October and then featured in the December issue of the Veterinary Practice magazine.
