Eaton Bray Lower School host evening

EATON Bray Lower School held an antiques evening with TV celebrity David Fletcher, a fine art auctioneer and valuer, on Thursday.

Based in Bedford, David is part of the BBC 'Flog It' team and broadcasts regularly on Three Counties Radio.

David gave an interesting and humorous talk about what goes on behind the scenes in the sale room. He also discussed some of the treasures that guests had brought in for him.

Afterwards he made some "roadshow" style individual valuations and comments.

A spokesman for the school said: "The evening was very well attended and although no-one discovered they had a priceless old master everyone left with a much better understanding of the antiques business."

The evening was arranged to raise money for Eaton Bray Lower School.

The school was recently classed as outstanding by OFSTED. Future fund-raising events include it's annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday November 29.
