LIVE offerings at the Stables could not feature more of an eclectic mix of music than tonight (May 8), with Boo Hewerdine and Brooks Williams on one stage and the Busnoys on the other.
Hewerdine and Williams’ extremely experimental album took just a day and a half to record, while the Busnoys provide intelligent jazz that is groovy one minute and atmospheric the next.
Pianist David Scheel – of whom the BBC said: “He stands alone... in a class of his own” – brings his successful send-up of classical music to town tomorrow night (May 9 ), fresh off performances in the West End and at Edinburgh Festivals.
The Martin Harley Band’s Glastonbury performances cemented their popularity on the acoustic scene, building them a strong fan base which will be pleased to know they are performing at the Wavendon venue on Wednesday (May 9).
