Singers bring Rhythm of Life to community

Rhythm of Life singers

THE Rhythm Of Life singers of Leighton Buzzard and Linslade, led by Steve and Anne Stokes, have started 2012 with the same resolution as they had last year and that is to entertain the community and raise funds for charities and worthwhile causes.

Recently they entertained the residents of Laburnum Court who were delighted to join in with some old favourites from the 50s and 60s and a few songs from Broadway. Afterwards the group were pleased to accept their donations to pass on to one of their favourite charities.

As the group wants to continue to develop their performance skills they are now inviting experienced guest speakers and performers to join them at one of their rehearsals, which are held Monday afternoons, 2 – 4pm, at The Friends Meeting House in North Street.

The ROLers, as they are becoming to be known as, are evolving into a social group as well as a singing group and are looking for new members to join them, and although singing experience is not essential as coaching is provided, interested people should be able to hold a note and not be committed to any other singing group.

For more information on joining or booking The Rhythm Of Life, or, a list of charities and worthwhile causes already ready benefited from the group, call Steve on 07982 656792 or email stevestokes@talktalk.net
