Forties fever at Bletchley Park
GO BACK in time to the World War Two Home of the Codebreakers at Bletchley Park for its annual ‘Forties Family Festival’.
The two day event features wartime displays and re-enactment groups, Forties news reels in an Enigma cinema and entertaining lectures about life at Bletchley Park and elsewhere during the war.
Over Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 of May, a fantastic 1940’s fashion show by Allied Assortment will take place, showing off every day and elegant fashion, from swimsuits to wedding dresses.
Last year, the event attracted over 3,500 visitors and there were over 250 World War Two re-enactors who transformed the location from a museum and heritage site into a beautiful 1940s setting.
Bletchley Park is set in beautiful parkland with a Victorian Mansion, a lake, wildlife and a children’s play area.
Normal admission applies for this event, with adult tickets £12, children 12-16 £6 and under 12’s have their entry free. On-site parking is £3 per car. For more details visit www.bletchleypark.org.uk.
