Splurge out on tickets to Bugsy Malone at the Court Theatre!

Anticipated youth production ready to shoot up the stage.

THERE has been a huge buzz about this summer's children's production of Bugsy Malone at the Court Theatre, Tring, even before the auditions held earlier this year.

The cast of 80 children, aged between eight and 14, have been rehearsing every Sunday since the spring to perfect the lively singing and dancing routines that characterise this fabulous family show.

Tring Festival Company director, Kate Blanchard said: "'Bugsy is one of those enduring shows that is always very popular and we've got an incredibly talented cast; amazing dancers, seriously good singers and some great actors, all of whom have worked hard over the last few months.

"It's going to be a wonderful show and we're counting the days now until opening night."

Voted 19th on the list of the 100 most popular musicals, (ahead of Phantom of the Opera and Cats) Bugsy Malone is set in New York during the prohibition era of gangsters and speakeasys.

The story centres on the rivalry between Dandy Dan and Fat Sam's gangs and a small matter of the infamous splurge guns.

Alan Parker's Bugsy Malone runs from July 27 until Saturday July 31.
