Collins helps captain panto fun

LOCAL comedy hero Andy Collins is getting ship-shape to play Hook’s sidekick Smee in the all singing, all dancing panto Peter Pan at the Waterside.
Andy, who appeared in the venue’s first ever panto alongside superstar Cilla Black, is no stranger to the high seas having spent four years in his youth serving in the navy where his ship’s captain once said “If we could win this war with laughter, I’d make young Collins Admiral”.
Since embarking on his entertainment career, Andy has experienced just about every aspect of the industry from Shakespeare to stand-up,
Andy joins ‘Strictly’s’ national treasure Russell Grant, and upcoming singer Holly Brewer in the panto He said: “We had so much fun last time I was at the Waterside and know this year will be bigger, better and funnier than ever. Peter Pan is a fantastic and magical story with amazing special effects! I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone there”.
