Music legends remembered at The Grove

Tributes to the kings and queens of American music.

MUSIC with a capital M this week at The Grove With three exciting shows about some of the greats in the business.

On Saturday (July 10) Forever In Blue Jeans combines classic hits from the 1950s onwards with impressions, dancing and comedy.

It's a real feelgood family show. Blue Jeans celebrate 50 years of Motown Magic which takes in hits from The Four Tops, The Jackson 5, Diana Ross and a host of other Motown favourites. The Carpenters, Showaddywaddy and Abba bring us into the 70's and just in case there's any cowboys out there we take a trip into the Silver Screen and visit Oklahoma and those 7 Brides for 7 Brothers.

The show ends with everyone invited to the party for the Grand Finale!

Next Monday (July 12) the sounds of Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly are brought back to life with In Dreams, an internationally acclaimed tribute show.

And next Tuesday (July 13) country fans are in for a treat with the return to The Grove of Dolly The Show.

Dolly Parton is a legend. The production takes you on a musical journey through Dolly's early days to her arena concerts of today and the show, featuring a full cast of singers, dancers and superb musicians, celebrates her career.

It's led by acclaimed country singer Jeanne Jordan and the familiar face of 29-year-old Emily Clark, who will portray Dolly through her younger years. Emily was only at the venue a couple of weeks ago with the Bat The Symphony concert.

Packed with all of Dolly's hits, such as; 9 to 5, I Will Always Love You, Islands in the Stream, Jolene, Here You Come Again, Coat of Many Colors and many more, all performed on a great stage set, injected with fun and more sparkles than Dolly's Rhinestones!
