BROTHERS Michael and Darren Herrity have been banned from part of Linslade after waging a war of words and violence against their former neighbours.
These men (pictured) are now barred from Stephenson Close and part of Wing Road after South Beds Council, the police and their former landlords, Jephson Housing Association, took the men to court and won an anti-social behaviour order against them.

Milton Keynes County Court issued the 12-month ASBO against 18-year-old Michael, now of Falcon Mews, Stanbridge Road, Leighton Buzzard, and Darren, 20, of Millers Close, Leighton Buzzard.

The order follows action taken in the summer of 2007 when the brothers were evicted from Stephenson Close, Leighton Buzzard, following four years of complaints from neighbours.

Following the eviction, the brothers still returned to the street and their behaviour, which included shouting, screaming and threatening other residents continued.

Now either brother can be arrested for being in the ban zone and potentially imprisoned for a breach.

PC Alison Kemp, anti-social behaviour officer for the South Bedfordshire area and seconded to the community safety team at SBDC, said: "Once again the work of the council and police as part of the South Beds Community Safety Partnership has succeeded in showing that behaviour of this kind will not be tolerated.

"We want to thank Jephson Housing Association for the work they undertook to help bring this case to a satisfactory conclusion. My hope is the suffering of residents in Stephenson Close will finally come to an end".

The ban will run until April 21, 2009 when the community safety team and Jephson Housing Association will consider whether to apply for the order to be extended.
