POLICE have this week named a 47-year-old woman who jumped in front of a freight train at Chelmscote, halfway between Linslade and Stoke Hammond.

Lourda Collier, from Aylesbury, died instantly of multiple injuries following the incident last Monday night.

The Leighton Road from Linslade to Stoke Hammond was shut for more than six hours by Thames Valley Police. An inquest was opened on Friday and adjourned for a date to be fixed.
