Jo Cain died on Tuesday.
A BEAUTIFUL young Leighton mum has lost her fight with cancer just five days short of the six months given.

Joanne Cain, 39, from Vimy Road, had battled a rare form of eye cancer since it was diagnosed two years ago. It then spread to her liver. She died on Tuesday morning at 12.15am.

The LBO covered her plight back in March when brave Jo compiled a 'bucket list' – things she wanted to do before she "kicked the bucket".

Friends and family rallied to make sure most of her dreams were fulfilled before she died.

Jo was mum to 20-year-old daughter Jessica and grandmother to two-year-old Alfie. She was a familiar face around town having worked in Tesco and Homebase.

Jo wanted her story told in the Leighton Buzzard Observer and Citizen to warn others of the dangers of not wearing polarised sunglasses in sunny weather.

We hope to bring you more in Tuesday's LBO. If family and friends want to send in tributes please send to sarah.holmes@lbobserver.co.uk
