b Gallery offers art tasters

Aspiring artists and afficionados can brush up on their knowledge.

THE b Gallery showcases work from talented emerging artists in a dedicated Members Gallery alongside a Fine Art Gallery featuring works by respected names like Rolf Harris, Timmy Mallett, Jack Vettriano and Beryl Cook.

Now the Toddington venue is offering taster evenings, an art open day and soirees for art enthusiasts throughout the autumn.

The gallery is hosting an Understanding Art Open Day on September 5, between 10am and 4pm, together with free taster evenings between 7pm and 9pm on August 31, September 2, 7 and 9.

Naomi Phelan, b Gallery's resident History of Art lecturer, has a number of Season 2 Soirees which include:-The Impressionists (September 17); 17th Century Netherlandish Artists (October 22); The Rise of the Modern Age ( November 19) and William Morris and the Arts and Crafts Movement (December 17).

b Gallery's new History of Art Courses are also scheduled to start this autumn for those who want to explore these periods in more depth.

Attendees are invited to choose a course to suit them from an extensive timetable of subjects covering the History of Western Art, from Renaissance to Modern Day.
