A champion firm of solicitors based in Leighton Buzzard turned out to support the launch of the search for their successors in the FSB Bedfordshire Business Awards.

The family and matrimonial, personal injury and medical negligence specialists Osborne Morris & Morgan (OMM), based in West Street, were the overall winners of the 2013 county title.

Fiona Burne, from OMM, said: “We felt it was important to have a presence at the 2014 FSB Bedfordshire Business Awards launch because our achievement last year has been a great marketing platform to emphasise our presence within the local community and boost morale within the firm.

“This is why we shall try our best this year in the application process to maintain our title.”

This year’s FSB Bedfordshire Business Awards were launched with the fantastic news that Center Parcs has joined the team as the headline sponsor.

Bedfordshire’s brilliant newest tourist attraction Center Parcs Woburn Forest has a conference and events arm and a massive commitment to the county’s small business community.

Daniel Whittemore, Head of Corporate Sales at Center Parcs, said: “SMEs play a vital role in the business community and it’s important that once a year time is taken out to recognise the achievements of members of the FSB.

“The new conference and events facilities at Center Parcs Woburn Forest will offer FSB members a truly unique experience and provide an inspirational setting for potential forthcoming meetings and events.

“Working with the FSB and its members will be important to raising awareness for the products and services offered by Center Parcs Conferences and Events and supporting the awards evening seemed like the perfect way to kick off what will hopefully be a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”

The FSB Bedfordshire Business Awards were launched to an audience of sponsors and potential entrants on February 12 at Basepoint, in Great Marlings, Luton.

Bedfordshire FSB branch chairman Ian Cording said: “It’s great to see Center Parcs show their commitment to the county’s small business community by getting behind these awards. Without a headline sponsor and all the other brilliant sponsors, these awards simply would not happen.”

Center Parcs is sponsoring the Overall County Winner and Community Business of the Year, joining a team of great sponsors:

The contest puts the emphasis on success and growth.

The free-to-enter awards are open to any sole trader or company employing up to 250 employees in Bedfordshire, not just members of the FSB. The entry process has been streamlined to include helpful hints to help busy entrepreneurs make the best entries possible.

Entrants can go for glory in up to three different categories. From all these award winners, chosen by an independent panel of judges, will emerge the Overall County Winner.
