Jobseekers can access free training and support at an event being staged by Central Bedfordshire Council in Leighton Buzzard next week.

The Future Choices for Employment drop-in session is being held at the Royal British Legion, in Bossard Hall, West Street, between 9.30am and 1pm on Wednesday, February 11.

Visitors can access training and support towards helping them find work, as well as learning more about the support choices on offer.

Councillor Nigel Young, Executive Member for Regeneration at the council, said: “While unemployment levels in Central Bedfordshire are below the national average, we are not complacent and want to do all we can to help residents find work.

“I would advise anyone living in the Leighton Buzzard area and looking for work to drop in at next week’s event as it’s free, there’s plenty of help on offer and you never know where it may get you. So what have you got to lose?”
