Two mums have set up their own business providing soft play equipment hire for the under fives and party packages for under sevens in and around LBO land.
Emma Parkins of Ivinghoe and Sonya Aris of Pitstone, have set up Doodle Caboodle and have lots of experience in organising parties and keeping this age group entertained as they have five children between them, all aged between six and one.
Both mums had excellent careers before they had children – Sonya was an account director for a Marketing Agency and Emma was (and still is) a Police officer – but now they want to build a successful business that offers a good work-life balance, uses their variety of skills and is flexible enough to work around family commitments whilst offering a great service, at a price to suit all budgets for local families.
“As parents we know that all children are different, so we are pleased to be able to offer flexible packages to suit all budgets” said Emma and Sonya. “We have a wide variety of soft play equipment, bouncy castles, ride on toys, inflatable bouncers, ball pools and giant games. We can tailor our packages to meet the needs of the individual event – whether it’s a children’s party, christening or wedding, or whether it’s a corporate or charity fundraiser. We are confident we can make any event a unique and enjoyable experience for all that attend.”
Now it’s not just about hiring equipment, Emma and Sonya can also provide ‘fully managed’ party packages so parents can avoid all the stress associated with organising children’s parties. “We know that organising parties can be pretty stressful – choosing a selection of kids from a huge class list, what to do to entertain them for a couple of hours and finding time to make a spectacular birthday cake may sound trivial to some but it all adds up to quite a stressful experience to many parents, but with Doodle Caboodle, all parents need to do is book the venue and work out who to invite. We will do the rest – from providing the invitations to supplying the entertainment or equipment, balloons, food, special cake and party gifts. Parents can just sit back, take the photos and enjoy the experience, whilst we take the lead.”
