A self employed business coach and consultant has turned her passion for crafting into a new career.

Bekka Prideaux, of Woodman Close, has always loved crafting and when she was made redundant five years ago, it was her chance to turn her hobby into something more.

She said: “I started Stamping five years ago, it’s about using colours and patterns to create designs.

“I am also a keen photographer, I have lots of pictures, so some of my products are photo album designs, I think it’s nice to tell a story behind the picture, these designs can do that.”

Ms Prideaux manages to juggle her jobs because crafting is flexible and she enjoys it.

She said: “The great thing about stamping is that you can spend hours and hours on it or it can be quick, it is completely up to you, everything around me inspires me and I am always coming up with new ideas and designs.”

She is a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up! and she recently won a cruise because of her success.

She said: “Stampin’ Up gives rewards if we sell their products, you can win trips and prizes, I had to work really hard for it but it is a job I love doing.

“The cruise was amazing, great weather, great company and really relaxing.”
