Unlocking the secret to new business ideas
Pitstone’s Katrina Blunt, founder of BelleBelly and Incubative, has turned published author after her first business book, Ultimate Idea Generation, arrived from the printers this week.
With Ultimate Idea Generation, Katrina aims to reach as many people as possible with her secrets of success for creating and selecting ideas for a new business.
She hopes the book will appeal to mums looking for a business idea so they don’t have to go back to more traditional working, and people struggling to find a job in the current economic climate who could use their skills to set up their own business.
The book is specifically aimed at individuals looking to start a business and small businesses looking to grow through the generation of ideas.
The book is split into manageable tasks designed to be completed over 30 days. The book also contains case studies from people who have created ideas of their own and successfully launched their own businesses.
One of Katrina’s own businesses, BelleBelly, is profiled in the book.
A free digital extract of the book can be downloaded at www.UltimateIdeaGeneration.com so people can read the first sections before they decide to buy the full printed book.
Katrina has been passionate about new ideas from a very early age. From making and selling hair scrunchies in the playground, to launching her own businesses in recent years. She was named as one of the UK’s top 100 Mumpreneurs in 2011 and 2012
Katrina decided to write Ultimate Idea Generation after spotting a gap in the business book market. She felt that most books assumed you already had an idea or devoted very few pages to idea generation. When, in her experience, there are many people who would love to work for themselves, if only they could come up with an idea. Ultimate Idea Generation takes people right back to the beginning of the process and helps them create the best ideas for them.
Katrina said “I find running my own businesses very rewarding and I enjoy coaching other people as they start and grow their businesses too. There are many ways to come up with ideas, but the more you try to create one by just staring at a blank piece of paper or forcing yourself to come up with something out of the blue, the harder is can be to think of anything. I hope with Ultimate Idea Generation I can help as many people as possible to come up with solid ideas to start their own businesses. Taking them through a 30-day process to help them create hundreds of ideas, then choose which ones to take forward into further development.”
