Now that spring is here the Friends of Linslade Woods are organising two events to help people to learn more about the woods and to enjoy the wonderful wildlife.
The first event is on Saturday, May 10, when there will be a chance to enjoy the stunning dawn chorus of birdsong in the woods with an expert on hand to help you to identify each species. This event will take place from 4.45am to 6.30am and will start from the bridleway entrance in Soulbury Road.
The second event on Thursday, May 15 is a guided Spring Walk around the woods led by two ecologists from Central Bedfordshire Council, Steve Halton and Trevor Smith. This will start at 7pm from the Knaves Hill footpath entrance. All ages are welcome on both events but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
