Environmental charity, the Greensand Trust, held a Christmas Fair in Rushmere Country Park at the weekend.
Visitors enjoyed a craft fair, carols sung by local schools and groups near Herons View Visitor Centre and could also pick up a Christmas tree to take home and decorate.
There was also a Gingerbread Wildlife House Challenge for youngsters to a build biscuit-based creation, plus craft activities for them too.
And no Christmas event would be complete without a visit from Santa himself!
The ‘Little and Loud’ choir at The Mary Bassett Lower School (pictured right) performed on the Saturday, finishing their carol selection with a resounding We Wish You A Merry Christmas. Headteacher Deborah Pargeter said: “The choir has grown from strength to strength over the last few years, under the expert guidance of Miss Sales. We are very proud of the Little and Loud choir, the children practise hard to sing so beautifully and it is lovely to be able to share this.”
