The Environment Agency has updated its flood map for homes and businesses at risk of flooding from the Clipstone Brook in Leighton.

Residents and businesses can check to see if they are at risk of flooding by visiting www.environment-agency.gov.uk.

The agency looked at historic and recent flooding statistics, as well as information provided by local residents, to ensure that the new flood map was more accurate.

“By updating our Flood Maps in this area we can make sure that the alerts and warnings we issue get to the right people at the right time – giving people vital time to get prepared for flooding.”
