Frustrated Hockliffe residents are in uproar over recent problems with their BT broadband connection and say the situation has become “ludicrous”.
Ongoing issues with speed have driven BT customers to distraction in the town, but BT insists issues were fully resolved yesterday evening - despite there still being complaints.
Members of the Hockliffe Village Group Facebook Page have been venting their frustration at the recent broadband issues.
Peter Edwards said: “Since last Thursday my connection is very erratic, pages sometimes do not load, cannot access some websites, keep getting page not available messages, video buffering for long periods.
“Seems intermittent; a web page that will not load sometimes will load instantly on others.
“It’s a ludicrous situation when so many customers are affected but cannot convince them there is a problem.”
A BT spokesman said: “We have experienced some power related problems in the local exchange which caused broadband problems to some people in the area.
“We are pleased to report that following works by engineers at the exchange that these issues were fully resolved yesterday afternoon. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
