Twelve members of staff from Leighton’s Clipstone Brook Lower School camped out in two tents on the school field to raise money for the survivors of the Philippines typhoon.
Whilst the evening was cold they kept warm with a fire and after a hot meal they played games including hide and seek and bubble gum blowing.
A school spokesman said: “While they had great time they raised over £1,500 for a fabulous cause. The money will provide shelter for many families who have lost everything in the terrible typhoon.
Donations are still being accepted either via the school office or on http://www.justgiving.com/clipstonewintercampout.
