Beaudesert Lower School PTA Christmas Fair proved a cracking success with £1,673 raised for school funds.

A heaving crowd took part in a range of activities including tombolas, ‘Elf on a Shelf’ and craft fairs, while the children could crawl through into a hidden Elves’ Workshop, where they could select and wrap presents for some lucky people.

There was also face painting and a variety of games.

Parent governor John Odwell said: “Everybody got into the festive spirit, with Elves on hand and even a special visit from Father Christmas. We’d like to say a big thanks to the PTA for organising and running such a fantastic event, and for all of the volunteers that helped out.

“All money raised is going towards a targeted £20,000 which it is hoped will be used to purchase some exciting new playground equipment”.
