The team at The Axe and Compass pub in Heath and Reach are busy planning a series of charity events which will start in August.

Managers Jake and Ryan Moxham are looking for local charities to represent at their monthly Fun Days.

The Leighton Road pub hopes to host all manner of events from an afternoon tea to a Battle of the Bands.

The boys have a lot of previous experience when it comes to fundraising. In May they hosted a garden party in aid of Help the Heroes after being approached by a local fundraiser.

The event raised £780 with a full day of good food, live music and much more.

Because the fun day was a huge success the pub is keen to continue fundraising.

“We both strongly believe that there is not a better way to give something back to the community who support us as a business than helping people within the community that are in need,” said Jake.

If you know of a local charity that would like to be represented at an Axe and Compass Fun Day email They are looking for all kinds of local charities and groups so don’t hesitate to contact the team with any questions.
