An opportunity for the public to quiz Leighton-Linslade Town Council about what it has done for the town in the past year will take place this evening.
The annual parish meeting, which is normally held at the White House on Hockliffe Street, will be hosted at the new Astral Park sports and community facility to celebrate its imminent opening.
The new building provides a much larger meeting space than the council chamber, allowing as many people as possible to attend the event to find out plans for the town’s future.
There will also be special guest, Chief Supt Jim Saunders of Bedfordshire Police, who will be there to answer concerns or queries about local policing.
Town councillors representing the five main committees will be present to answer any questions about the work of the council, with their responsibilities including parks and open spaces, allotments, cemeteries, community events, community grants and Christmas lighting.
> The annual parish meeting will take place tonight at 7.30pm.
