There were nearly 400 exhibits provided by 52 competitors at the popular Linslade Horticultural Society Summer Show.
There were wonderful colourful displays of fruit and vegetables, magnificent flowers and plants and exquisite floral arrangements on show in the auditorium.
Cakes, jams, preserves, photographs and handicrafts, were accompanied by children’s pictures and handiwork in the other hall, where visitors and members were also able to enjoy a selection of homemade cakes, sandwiches, flans, deserts and refreshments.
The Premier award, the RHS Banksian Medal, was won by Robert Irving.
President’s Choice Best Exhibit in Show, was won by Ken Griffin (Class 69 – 3 Gladioli).
The Faith Press Cup for Best Exhibit by a member went to Suzanne Clarke (Class 92 – Floral Arrangement, theme Elegant Afternoon Tea)
A show spokesman said: “The society would like to thank all whose efforts helped to make this our main annual event possible and all the exhibitors, without whom the show would not take place.”
