There’s still time to get your heartfelt Valentine’s message placed on a Leighton Buzzard charity shop’s Line of Love.
The Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity (FNHC) shop’s campaign launched on Monday and already there are plenty of messages on display in its town centre window.
It’s an opportunity for customers to share a special message to a loved one on a paper heart and peg it on the Line of Love washing line. There’s a suggested £2 donation to the hospice.
Ruth Early, FNHC fundraiser, said: “This is such a fun, novelty way of doing Valentine’s Day and in a lot of cases much cheaper than a card. Not only is this a way to show a loved one how much you care, but it also means you can show your support for your local hospice in its 25th anniversary year as well.”
She added: “It was extremely popular last year and we’re hoping that lots of people will want to share their messages to a loved one with us again this time round!”
The Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity needs to raise over £600,000 this year to keep essential in-patient and at-home services running for local families affected by life-limiting illness across Aylesbury Vale and surrounding areas.
