Boy, 15, assaulted in ‘unprovoked and violent attack’ by middle-aged man

A 15-year-old boy was assaulted and showered with broken glass in an ‘unprovoked and violent attack’ while sitting in a parked car in Eaton Bray.

A white man, aged between 30 and 40 years old, approached the blue pick-up truck as the victim sat in the passenger side before smashing the car’s window with an unidentified object and hitting the youngster in the face.

He suffered scratching to both of his eyes and also received cuts and bruises as a result of the attack, which happened on Friday between 8.30pm and 8.45pm on Bower Lane.

The offender is described as being around 5ft 10ins tall, skinny build, short greying hair, with slight stubble and wearing dark clothing

PC Richard Partridge, who is investigating the assault, is keen to speak with anyone who was in the area and may have seen the offender or the incident taking place.

PC Partridge said: “This was an unprovoked and violent attack which left the victim with some very nasty injuries and I would urge anyone with information to get in contact with Bedfordshire Police.”
