Leighton Town FC manager Craig Bicknell will face no further legal action after the CPS dropped a drugs charge against him today, the LBO can reveal.
Mr Bicknell, along with his brother Paul, had been charged with two counts of conspiracy to possess Class A drugs (cocaine) with intent to supply.
Following a trial at Aylesbury Crown Court the Leighton manager was cleared of one count on October 22, while the jury were unable to come to a verdict on the second.
In court today the Crown Prosecution Service offered no evidence for the second charge, dropping the case.
Paul Bicknell was found not guilty on both counts during the original trial and was discharged last month.
