Gang attack man in Leighton town centre

A 44-year-old man was assaulted in the Market Square, Leighton Buzzard on Wednesday night, June 18.

A group of men approached the victim at 10.30pm and pushed him to the ground before kicking and punching him.

The victim managed to run from the scene and contacted the police once he had returned home.

PC Lucy Craddock said: “This appears to be an unprovoked assault by a group of five to six men who are described as speaking with Irish accents. The victim has been left bruised by the assault and I would urge anyone who saw the incident or can help identify those responsible to contact the police.”
