Police are looking for witnesses after vandals spray-painted a car and shop window in Leighton Buzzard town centre at New Year.

At around 3.00am on the morning of Thursday January 1, the window of Peacocks in High Street was sprayed over with blue paint. No lasting damage was caused.

It is believed at least two people were involved in the incident.

A police spokesman said: “We later received a report of criminal damage to a vehicle, also with blue spray paint.

“Anyone who saw either incident or believes their property has been damaged should contact us on 101.”
