Man needs stitches after assault in town centre

A man in his 30s was hospitalised after an assault in Leighton town centre on Saturday morning.

The victim had been involved in a confrontation in Bar Bhudda and left the premises at 5am.

As he walked along Bridge Street he was punched by a man and fell to the floor. He was then kicked in the head by a second man.

The victim was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital and given 17 stitches to facial injuries.

The attackers were both white, one 5ft 7ins tall, the other slightly taller. The first had short brown hair and a light blue t-shirt, the other had dark hair and a white t-shirt.
