Police are linking village burglaries

Intruders who are believed to be behind burglaries in Ivinghoe and Slapton are being hunted by police.

In Ivinghoe, the criminals struck at around 1am on Tuesday, July 15 as they attempted to gain entry to a house in Maud Janes Close.

They then gained entry to another house in Maud Janes Close by forcing the front door. Once inside they stole items including a white Samsung Galaxy SII, an Advent laptop, a men’s yellow gold ring and a digital Fuji Bridge SLR camera.

Police are linking the incidents to a failed break-in via the front door between 10pm on July 14 and 2am on July 15 at a house in Church Road, Slapton,
