Second man arrested over murder near leighton Buzzard

A second man has been arrested over the murder of a dad at a traveller site near Leighton Buzzard.

Officers investigating the death of Patrick Maloney in Toddbury Farm in Little Billington have arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

The man, from Leighton Buzzard, is now being questioned in police custody in connection with the death of dad-of-three Mr Maloney on August 2.

24-year-old Thomas McCarthy is already charged with murder and has been remanded by the court pending a further appearance.

A 42-year-old woman also arrested on suspicion of murder is currently on bail with strict conditions and is due to return on September 14.
